Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime

A Story: This is the 25th year we’ve made this wine, and we’re getting pretty good at it. Check it. This is a standalone bottle that holds its ground. Yes, it’s White Pinot Noir and yes, by color, it’s a rosé, but also just so much more. Languid and electric at the same time, it will lift your evening and, perhaps, make you sing.

The Cliff Notes: The color is pale peach. Tangerine and lime flowers waft off the nose. Those same flavors echo on the palate, followed by creamsicle and shortbread, finishing again on lime. There is surprising weight here given the mouthwatering acidity. It tends to want to transport you to a table on a warm evening patio.

Fermentation: 100% Pinot noir, whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented to dry using a long, slow, low-temperature, wild-yeast regimen. Those native yeasts metabolized the sugar under the pressure of clean carbon dioxide, thus delivering massive high-tone fruit esters that make it seem all sweet fruit and summery.

Elevage: 100% barrel aged in older French oak barrels. Aged using lees addition and incorporating Champagne methodologies from 100 years ago to strip color and broaden an earthy mid-palate, similar to a rosé Champagne from that era, without the bubbles. Racked once and filtered prior to bottling in January 2026.

Vineyards: Crazy, this wine is actually a single vineyard selection off our own St. Dolores Estate (17 years-old) on Parrett Mtn, in the Chehalem Mtns. AVA. The grapes hail from three blocks of our certified organic, high-elevation, acid-preserving vineyard at the winery.

Reviews

The 2025 Glass pours a beautiful peachy hue and reflects what the estate considers an excellent recent run of vintages. It is pure and inviting with bright cherry fruit, candied lime, grapefruit, refreshing salinity, and lovely spice. Medium-bodied, it has terrific balance, vibrant acidity, and solid length. A beautifully subtle wine that can be enjoyed now or over the next several years. 92 pts

The 2025 Glass White Pinot Noir opens in the glass with white strawberries, sweet spice and nuances of sage. It is crisp and lifted in feel, with crunchy minerality and citrus-laced orchard fruits on the palate. The finish tapers of wildly fresh and floral, leaving nuances of green melon that pinch at the cheek. Jim Prosser sources the fruit for the White Pinot Noir from Temperance Hill vineyard. 92 pts
