Voluminous cherry ester and spice wrapped in an intense deep red wrapper

A Story: Dolores, our mom, is 93. She, and the wine, swimmingly retain their marbles.

The Cliff Notes: The color is a light-penetrating deep red. The nose brings deep, estery, bing cherry and peach, followed by cherry cordial with a touch of smoked meat. A pleasurable attack of peach and berry cobbler leads your mouth to a beautifully round palate of depth and energetic lift. The crazy intensity of this wine will have you convinced you could otherwise blow cherry-infused smoke rings, if you could only put down your glass.

The Building of: We are proud of these six best barrels, wild-yeast fermented in wood and stainless steel then 100% barrel aged for 18 months (one once filled, five neutral barrels). Bottled unfiltered in April 2026.

Ageability: We absolutely recommend that you consider decanting to get it some air within its first three years. This wine should easily climb in complexity beyond ten years.

Vineyards: Our dry-farmed, certified organic St. Dolores Estate (16 years) continues to bring that anomaly of both structured while at the same time juicy, from the vines to the wines, including a slight note of tarragon. It’s a pretty place and we are thoughtfully farming the idea of substantial from it.

Reviews

Selected from the six best barrels, the 2024 Pinot Noir St Dolores Estate pours a deep ruby red color and taps into greater toasty depth and purity without adding weight. Dark cherry, a touch of tropical fruit, and sour cherry pie emerge from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, it has gorgeous purity, vibrant acidity, tremendous length, and a driving, focused finish. It's absolutely delicious. 98pts

The 2024 Pinot Noir St. Dolores Estate is darkly floral and remarkably pretty, with vivid black cherry complimented by cedar shavings and a tinge of blood orange. It washed across the palate like liquid cashmere, soft and supple, as savory red berry fruit slowly saturates under an air of sweet lavendar. It tapers off spicy and long, gently tannic, leaving nuances of wild blueberry to fade. 94+ pts
